MYANMAR: ASEAN needs to address its failing approach to the crisis in Myanmar following the military coup

Open Letter to ASEAN Chairperson

ASEAN leaders must take urgent action to ensure the release of all individuals unlawfully detained by the Myanmar military and establish a clear timeline for ASEAN’s implementation of the Five-Point Consensus.  

In this open letter to ASEAN, we call on the ASEAN Chair, President Joko Widodo, to establish a concrete action plan to address the plight of the Rohingya community in Myanmar and in neighbouring countries.
